Did I tell you all about my cabbage obsession? I'm ALL about cabbages. Eating them, landscaping with them, growing them........ehhhhh....not so much. My cabbages this year look rough.⁠

But I read in a farm tip book that leaving the old cabbages in the beds overwinter and planting the new cabbages next to them helps to protect the new cabbage from worms. A little bacteria lives on the old cabbages that the cabbage worms hate, and it moves to the baby cabbages in the spring if you plant them together.⁠
